Key Suspects in Karni Sena Chief’s Murder Arrested Following NIA Raids Across Haryana and Rajasthan
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at 31 locations across Haryana and Rajasthan in connection with the murder of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi. Gogamedi was fatally shot at his residence in Jaipur on December 5. Following his murder, gangster Rohit Godara, affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, claimed responsibility for the killing.
Two of the shooters, identified as Rohit Rathore and Nitin Fauji, were apprehended on December 9 in Chandigarh. They revealed to the police that it was Godara who had ordered the murder. The investigation also indicated that the shooters were in contact with Godara’s close associates, Virendra Chahan and Danaram, while they were on the run. A conflict between Godara and Gogamedi over the collection of ransom from some businessmen is suspected to be the motive behind the murder.
Additionally, a woman, along with her husband, has been arrested for allegedly providing weapons and arranging accommodation for the perpetrators. The third shooter involved in the incident died during the exchange of gunfire. The murder was captured on CCTV, showing two men firing multiple shots at Gogamedi, who collapsed from the injuries and was later declared dead at the hospital.
