Prime Minister Modi’s Historic Ayodhya Visit: Inaugurations and Developments Preceding Ram Temple Consecration
Highlights Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Ayodhya Visit: Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked a significant event in Uttar Pradesh’s Ayodhya by inaugurating and laying the foundation for 46 development projects valued at ₹15,700 crore. This visit is particularly notable as it precedes the January 22nd dedication of the Ram Temple, highlighting its importance.
During his Saturday visit, PM Modi led the inauguration of several development initiatives in Ayodhya. Among the major projects unveiled was the prestigious Maharishi Valmiki International Airport. Additionally, Modi inaugurated the newly renovated Ayodhya Dham Junction railway station and initiated the service of six Vande Bharat and two Amrit Bharat trains.
On Friday, the Prime Minister emphasized his administration’s commitment to preserving Ayodhya’s rich cultural heritage. He also outlined the projects set for inauguration on Saturday.
Concurrently, Ayodhya is being elaborately prepared for the upcoming inauguration of the Ram Temple, following a seven-day consecration ceremony starting on January 16.
A significant highlight is the installation of a 51-inch idol of a five-year-old Lord Ram in the temple’s inner sanctum. A vote conducted yesterday led to the selection of this idol from three designs, as chosen unanimously by the Ram Janmbhoomi Teertha Kshetra trust for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony.
